Instant (almost!) Cyanotype photography

03.08.2024

admission free

Come along and join us creating instant (almost!) photographs of plants and flowers foraged in the beautiful Wivenhoe Park.

The park rangers have told us what we can pick as we explore the park foraging for things to include in our photograph – and they’ve even provided some trimmings for us!

Photographer Jack Briggs-Miller is on site to guide us through the cyanotype process and show us how. Watch as light creates your artwork before your very eyes!

All material provided and you will be able to take your cyanotype photographs away with you at the end of the day.

Beginners welcome – all materials provided.

Suitable for all ages from 5 years old upwards.

We’ll be near the Silberaad Centre and the lakes. Look out for our yellow flags – and here’s a map so you can find us! Art in the Park Map

Cafes, toilets and baby changing facilities are all nearby, and parking is free on Saturdays.

This event has been made possible through the Essex County Council Arts and Cultural Fund, which supports organisations and creative practitioners to deliver an exciting range of activities to engage with and bring communities in Essex together.
