Act of Memory: recitation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

9.00-10am, Square 3, University of Essex

To mark Human Rights Day, students from the University of Essex will recite the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Each student will choose one of the 30 articles  – the one that they hold most closely to their heart. Many students will attempt to commit the article to memory, so that by knowing off by heart, they will be able to call upon it when need it most. This year we will be joined by Shami Chakrabati, Chancellor of the University of Essex.
