Repented

7pm, in LTB 10, Colchester campus

The Centre for Film and Screen Media and LiFTS are delighted to present a special screening of REPENTED (UK and Zimbabwe, 2018).

After serving a 25 year jail sentence for the murder of her child, a woman wants to face the man that made her pregnant, before she can face the world. She travels back to a small mining town where they both lived and worked, to seek out her old lover – and to seek revenge. Based on Stanley Makuwe’s play ‘Finding Temeraire’, this film explores personal relationships against a backdrop of colonial subjugation.

The production is directed by the British Director Agnieszka Piotrowska and shot by an acclaimed Zimbabwean cinematographer Obrian Mudyiwenyama.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Director Agnieszka Piotrowska.
