Our expert arts educations officers create workshops that can be tailor made to each school’s needs and priorities, while delivering the National Curriculum. Coming onto campus is also a great opportunity to give young people a taste of student life and raise aspirations. We are always happy to include a campus tour, treasure hunt or quiz – all specially designed with young visitors in mind!

What makes a picture pretty? Taking advantage of Art Exchange’s setting in Wivenhoe Park, these practical workshops get us looking at composition in art and nature to work out what makes a picture pleasing to the eye.
There is considerable evidence that attitudes to learning are formed early. The University Challenge programme raises aspirations from an early age.
Experiment with drawing, mark making and light through the creation of photogram and pinhole images. Groups could even create their own pinhole cameras.
Inspired by Lance Wyman’s Mexico 68 design classic, young people from local schools and colleges create their own designs inspired by the Olympics.
