Art Exchange will be supporting ‘From Occupation to Liberation: Decolonising Palestine’, with a zine making workshop. This event is organised by students from the Department of Sociology and Criminology, with close support from their academic staff, and Pal Soc.
This event aims to shed light on the ongoing aggression taking place in Palestine, especially Gaza, and to provide a space for students and staff to come together – to discuss, grieve, create, and potentially find a route to become involved in community organising.
This hybrid event will involve a panel of academics, students, and activists talking about their area of expertise, followed by a discussion, then creative workshops (poetry and zine-making).
Art Exchange’s Gallery Experience Assistant @mawadah will be facilitating the zine workshop taking place after the talks and discussions, at 4pm. The talks start at 12 noon.
If you’d like to join us in-person, please book a space on Eventbrite in advance on the link in the @palsoc bio.
For those joining online, the Zoom link is also available on there. If you do not have a ticket, you won’t be able to join. Ticketing closes at 12pm on Wednesday 8th March.
We hope to see you all there!
