2.00 – 3.00pm, at Art Exchange

Extending the debate on the relationship between art and power, we present William Kentridge’s iconic short film Monument.

Taking Monument and the issues it raises as a starting point, curator Jess Twyman will explore the power invested in the plinth. As society increasingly debates how we commemorate history in our public spaces, what kind of alternatives make sense in the 21st century? Join us as we discuss the continued use of this symbol of power in our public spaces.

Admission free. Refreshments served.
