Folk Projects – artists Rosie Pedlow & Joe King – will join us to give a talk about their latest exhibition ‘It dissolves by the rain from the sky’. They will expand on the ideas and inspiration behind their new work that engages in the local history of the area, taking inspiration from books and maps in the University of Essex’s Albert Sloman Library’s Special Collections.
Their residency has been inspired by working alongside the local community group Creating Change, as they actively investigated north east Essex and its land and sea access. Rosie and Joe will tell us about how they developed these communal research walks into the films and installation currently on show at Art Exchange.
Refreshments served – all welcome.
