Then be part of our Culture Club at Essex!
Come along to special events such as behind-the-scenes tours of our Latin American Art Collection, cultural crawls around Colchester’s best arts events, and we’ll give you sneak preview of what’s coming up before we tell anyone else. There is also the occasional complimentary ticket for selected events at the Lakeside Theatre. Whatever the event, there will always a gang of like-minded art lovers to hang out with!
For those wanting to give their CV a boost, there is also an opportunity for work experience and volunteering in this exciting arts environment, helping out at events and in the gallery. Any students signed up for the Big Essex Award can count this opportunity towards the Community Volunteering unit. Just remember to log this unit on CareerHub when you have reached 25 or 50 hours.
This scheme is open to all, including students and staff at the University of Essex, as well as individuals and organisations external to the University who want to get more involved in the arts.
