To celebrate the last few days of Safe European Home? the current exhibition at Art Exchange, Damian and Delaine Le Bas will be in residence in the gallery from 1-3pm, welcoming and talking to visitors about their work. Come along and meet the artists, hear more about their work, and contribute to their fascinating and ever-growing Mobile Library, which traces the 1000 year journey of the Roma community from India across Europe.

Damian and Delaine’s son Damian Le Bas will also be on campus, ‘occupying’ the space outside the Silberrad Student Centre at the University of Essex for three days, living out of his blue van as it becomes his home. Residing on campus 24/7 Damian will interact with the campus community. On Saturday 19 March, Damian will then relocate to Firstsite as part of Essex Book Festival’s HOME weekend, to take part in discussions that focus on migrancy and marginality, alongside Delaine Le Bas and a panel of other speakers.
