Join us in celebrating thirty years of ESCALA, co-organised by the Latin American Society at the University of Essex.
The Latin American Society at the University of Essex is one of the longest running student-led societies in campus. Even as far back as 1969, the Latin American Society was organising parties in the ‘Upper Common Room’, then located at Wivenhoe House as campus was still being built.
In honour of those early students championing Latin American culture at Essex, ESCALA and the Latin American Society have joined forces to organise a party to celebrate the thirty years of ESCALA. ‘Mis 30 años: Una fiesta para ESCALA’, meaning ‘My 30 years: a party for ESCALA’ in Spanish, will be a dancing opportunity you don’t want to miss!
We invite everyone to show their fanciest footwork and dancing moves to celebrate ESCALA’s legacy.
You can also enjoy authentic snacks and drinks from Latin America!
Admission free – all welcome.
