Strange Lights
This exhibition’s starting point is the tale of a winter’s night in 1980, when US servicemen witnessed ‘unexplained lights’ in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk. The incident quicklybecame Britain’s most famous UFO mystery with abounding rumours of conspiracies and cover-ups. Thirty years later, artists Joe KingĀ and Rosie Pedlow were inspired to visit the forest in search of similarly ‘inexplicable’ events.
Maintaining a balace between celebration and criticality, Joe KingĀ and Rosie Pedlow’s subsequent reflections on a plurality of worlds are presented in this video and mixed media installation, Strangelights.
