Refractive Distance brings together international artists who deliberately destabilise our view of the world around us. Directly (or indirectly) they disrupt assumptions about our ways of seeing through their canny use of illusion, scale and the everyday.
Refractive Distance showcases film, photography, sound art and installation by artists George Barber, Luis Camnitzer, aruma-Sandra de Berduccy, Zilla Leutenegger, Karen Mirza & Brad Butler, Rolf Julius and Renata Padovan and Liliana Porter.
This exhibition is curated by MA students from the Centre for Curatorial Studies at the University of Essex.
